It was midday. The sun was scorching like real fire. I needed to leave a church meeting to a different location about 1-2 km away on foot.
If you’re familiar with KNUST and it’s environs, I was about to leave Ayeduase, PENSA-KNUST building site to Continental Hall.There was the option to take a car, and avoid the wrath of the sun 🌞 but I had no single coin or paper on me.
As I gradually made my way towards the roadside, I met an angel. 👼She was coming from the same meeting and heading to the same destination. I realized this after I quickened my steps to speak with her.
She mentioned her name as Doreen. Doreen NyarkoI tried convincing Doreen, my new friend to come walk with me. “Walk?! She asked”, adding, “No, we need to take a car”.I had to oblige. Clearly, I was the man.
On a normal day, I should be the one paying for the fare. How do I tell her I had no money 😢. ‘Fine boy’ like me.But I realized I had to. And as quickly as possible before the embarrassment multiplies after we board the car.
I mustered courage and told her. “I have no money on me o,” I said, to which she quickly replied, “oh come on, don’t worry, I’ll pay”.I took a deep breath. When we arrived, it felt like a real angel had just taken me under her wings and saved me from the blazing sun.
It’s been about five years since that day. But it’s fresh on my mind like it happened today. Now, Doreen my ‘saviour’ has a food business called Malujuks. They take orders for all kinds of local beverages, fruit juices and more.She recently told me about the start-up and I felt obligated to help promote it. Check out their flyers below:

I’ve never forgotten how Doreen made me feel that day and I might never. So keep doing good. Always be an angel that saves people in daily situations.You shall surely reap from the good seeds you keep spreading around randomly.
